Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium heat until fully cooked.
  3. Drain excess fat and stir in the cream of mushroom soup and milk.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Spread the beef mixture in a baking dish.
  6. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Arrange tater tots on top of the cheese.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown.
