Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup of warm milk, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and 2 teaspoons of yeast. Let the mixture sit for about 5-10 minutes, or until it becomes frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 3 cups of bread flour and 1 teaspoon of salt until well combined.
  3. Gradually pour the frothy yeast mixture into the flour mixture, stirring with a wooden spoon until it starts to come together. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes.
  4. Divide the dough into two equal portions. In one portion, mix in drops of red and blue natural food coloring.
  5. Grease a large bowl with oil, place both portions of dough inside, and cover with a damp cloth. Let them rise for about 2 hours.
