  • 1 cup boiling water
For the Topping
  • 1 batch chocolate frosting your favorite recipe
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips for spiderweb effect

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your cake pans.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract and mix until fully combined and smooth.
  4. Carefully stir in boiling water until the batter is smooth.
  5. Grease and flour two 9-inch cake pans.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool in pans for 10 minutes and then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Once cool, frost the tops of the cakes with chocolate frosting and drizzle melted white chocolate to create the spiderweb design.
