Flip the patties and place a slice of cheese on each one. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and the burgers are cooked to your desired doneness.
Toast the hamburger buns on the skillet until golden brown.
Assemble the burgers by spreading a generous amount of garlic aioli on the bottom bun, adding the patty, and topping with lettuce, tomato, and red onion. Place the top bun on and serve immediately.
