For the Burger Patties
  • 1 lb Ground Beef 80/20 blend for juiciest flavor

  • 2 cups Cheese (freshly grated) Avoid pre-shredded varieties
  • 2 tbsp Butter Optional for cooking
  • 2 tbsp Flour Thickens the cheese sauce
  • 1 cup Milk For smooth consistency
For the Toppings
  • to taste Thousand Island Dressing Tangy drizzle
  • to taste Pickles and Jalapeño Slices Extra crunch and flavor
  • 1/4 cup Grated Onion Drain excess moisture

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C) and spread out the frozen fries on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  2. Season the ground beef with salt and pepper, and heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Divide the seasoned ground beef into 6 portions, form into balls, and press each into thin patties in the hot skillet. Cook for 1-2 minutes on each side until browned.
  4. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat, whisk in flour, then gradually add milk, and stir in the cheese until melted.
  5. Once fries are crispy, drizzle cheese sauce over them, layer on burger patties, and return to the oven for 5-10 minutes.
  6. Drizzle with Thousand Island dressing and add toppings of pickles and jalapeños before serving.
