- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Gather ingredients and equipment to streamline the process.
 - Roll out thawed puff pastry on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick and place it in a greased baking dish.
 - Layer cubes of Gruyère cheese over the pastry, sprinkle with thyme, and drizzle with hot honey.
 - Fold the pastry edges over the filling and pinch to seal tightly.
 - Whisk an egg and brush it over the surface of the pastry for a golden finish.
 - Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until golden brown and puffed.
