For the Noodles
  • 8 ounces egg noodles Feel free to use any pasta you love.
  • 3 tablespoons butter A dairy-free butter can be used for a dairy-free version.
For the Sauce
  • 4 cups chicken broth Low-sodium broth is recommended.
  • 4 cloves garlic Mince fresh garlic for the best flavor.
For the Finish
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese Mozzarella or cheddar can be substitutes.
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley Chop before serving for a vibrant touch.

Equipment

  • large skillet

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by seasoning your boneless chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat until it starts to foam. Carefully place the seasoned chicken breasts in the pan and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown.
  3. Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the skillet and let it rest on a plate. In the same skillet, add an additional tablespoon of butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute, or until the garlic turns fragrant.
  4. Pour in 4 cups of chicken broth, ensuring to scrape up any flavorful bits stuck to the pan. Bring the broth to a simmer before adding in 8 ounces of egg noodles.
  5. Cook the noodles in the simmering broth for about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally until they are tender but still slightly firm.
  6. When the noodles are perfectly cooked, stir in ½ cup of grated Parmesan cheese and the cooked chicken. Toss in freshly chopped parsley just before serving.
