Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
- In a stand mixer, combine cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Mix on medium speed for 2-3 minutes until smooth. Fold in sour cream.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool for 15-20 minutes.
- Whisk together sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, heavy cream, and a dash of vanilla until smooth.
- Poke holes into the cooled cake with a fork and pour half of the milk mixture over the cake, letting it soak in. Add the remaining mixture and let rest.
- Cover the cake with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours or overnight.
- Chill a mixing bowl, then beat the heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Spread whipped cream over the chilled cake and optionally top with cinnamon, strawberries, cherries, or coconut.
