Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine halved Brussels sprouts with cubed butternut squash.
- Chop the bacon into bite-sized pieces and add to the vegetable mixture. Stir until well incorporated.
- Drizzle olive oil over the mixture and sprinkle with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and optional crushed red pepper flakes. Toss until evenly coated.
- Transfer the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and spread it out evenly.

- Drizzle maple syrup over the roasted vegetables and bacon, then toss to coat.
- Return to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes to caramelize the maple syrup.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
