Ingredients

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1 can 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup chopped nuts walnuts or pecans, optional

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form a crust.
  3. Evenly sprinkle the shredded coconut over the crust.
  4. Layer the chocolate chips and butterscotch chips over the coconut. If using nuts, sprinkle them on top as well.
  5. Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the entire mixture, ensuring it covers all the ingredients.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
  7. Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the pan for at least 30 minutes before cutting into squares.

  • To make these bars gluten-free, use gluten-free graham cracker crumbs or almond flour instead of regular graham crackers.
