Ingredients
  

For the Marinade
  • 1 lb Flank Steak Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce Use tamari for gluten-free.
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil Use toasted for extra flavor.
  • 1 tbsp Brown Sugar Honey is a substitute.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Fresh, grated.
For the Rice and Vegetables
  • 2 cups Jasmine Rice Brown rice can substitute.
  • 3 cups Mixed Vegetables Bell peppers, broccoli, or carrots are great.
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil Can substitute with olive or avocado oil.
For the Spicy Cream Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream Greek yogurt is a lighter option.
  • 2 tbsp Sriracha Sauce Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tbsp Lime Juice Freshly squeezed.
  • 1 tbsp Honey Adjust based on taste.
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
For Garnishing
  • 2 tbsp Sesame Seeds
  • 1/4 cup Green Onions Chopped.

Method
 

Marinate and Prep
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Add the flank steak, cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare jasmine rice according to package instructions until fluffy.
  3. In a small mixing bowl, combine sour cream, Sriracha, lime juice, honey, salt, and pepper until smooth.
Cooking Steps
  1. Heat a grill pan or skillet over high heat and cook the marinated steak for 5-6 minutes on each side.
  2. Let the cooked steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain.
  3. In the same pan, add vegetable oil and sauté mixed vegetables for 5-7 minutes until tender.
Assemble and Garnish
  1. Assemble bowls with jasmine rice, sliced steak, sautéed vegetables and drizzle with spicy cream sauce.
  2. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve immediately.
