Step-by-Step Instructions for Jalapeño Cheddar Bread
- In a medium bowl, combine warm water with instant yeast and sugar. Stir and let sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- Add bread flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until a soft dough forms, knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
- Gently fold in the shredded cheddar cheese and diced jalapeños lightly coated in flour.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover and let rise in a warm area for 1 to 1.5 hours or until doubled.
- Punch down the risen dough, shape into a loaf, and place in a greased loaf pan.
- Cover the loaf pan with a towel and let it rise for 30 minutes until puffed.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake the loaf for 35-40 minutes until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then on a wire rack for another 15-20 minutes before slicing.

Notes
For best results, ensure cheese is coated in flour and allow bread to cool completely before slicing to avoid a gummy texture.
