Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, combine warm water with sugar and sprinkle the active dry yeast on top. Let sit for 5-7 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Once the yeast mixture is foamy, pour it into the dry ingredients along with olive oil. Stir until a shaggy dough forms.
  4. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Shape the dough into a ball and place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for about 1 hour.
  6. Gently punch down the dough, transfer back to a floured surface, and knead in the mozzarella and Parmesan.
  7. Shape the dough into a loaf and place in a greased loaf pan. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and brush the loaf with melted butter.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
  10. Once baked, sprinkle with fresh parsley and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before slicing.
