Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, honey, five-spice powder, minced garlic, and grated ginger until well combined.
  2. Place bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs into a large resealable bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well coated.
  3. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Remove the marinated chicken from the refrigerator, and arrange the pieces evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes, basting with the leftover marinade every 15 minutes.
  6. Once baked, remove the Char Siu Chicken from the oven and let it rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
