Step‑by‑Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line an 8x8 baking dish with parchment paper. Prepare the brownie batter and pour it into the prepared dish. Bake for about 35-45 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs. Allow to cool completely.
- In a medium saucepan, melt 1/4 cup of unsalted butter over medium heat until bubbly. Whisk in 1 teaspoon of strawberry extract and 1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream, followed by 1 cup of powdered sugar until smooth. Pour this over the cooled brownie base.
- In a small saucepan, heat 1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream over medium-low heat until it starts to simmer. Remove from heat and add 1 cup of dark chocolate chips. Let sit for 5 minutes, then whisk until smooth.
- Pour the chocolate ganache over the strawberry layer, spreading it evenly with a spatula. Let sit at room temperature for 15-30 minutes to set.
- Drizzle chocolate syrup over the top and slice the brownies into squares. Optionally garnish with fresh strawberries.

Notes
Allow the brownie base to cool completely before adding the strawberry layer to prevent melting. Adjust the strawberry layer thickness based on your preference.
