  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1/4 cup olive oil Vegetable oil can substitute.
  • 1.5 cups warm water Aim for 110°F.
For the Flavor
  • 4 cloves minced garlic Fresh cloves preferred.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Nutritional yeast for dairy-free.
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary or thyme Use dried herbs at half amount.
  • 1 teaspoon flaky sea salt Kosher salt can substitute.

Method
 

Dough Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine all-purpose flour, kosher salt, and instant yeast. Gradually stir in warm water and olive oil until a sticky dough forms. Cover and let rise for 1-2 hours until doubled.
  2. Once risen, grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with olive oil. Stretch dough to fit the pan and cover with a towel for 30 minutes.
Garlic Oil and Baking
  1. Heat olive oil in a small saucepan and add minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat.
  2. Dimple the dough with fingers, drizzle garlic oil, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, rosemary, and flaky sea salt.
  3. Preheat oven to 425°F. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
Serving
  1. Let focaccia cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then slice and serve warm.
