Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place a wire rack on top of the baking sheet for the wings to cook evenly.
In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika until evenly coated.
Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, turning halfway through, until the wings are crispy and golden brown.
While the wings are baking, melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Once melted, stir in the hot sauce and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Remove the wings from the oven and place them in a large bowl. Pour the hot sauce mixture over the wings and toss until they are well coated.
Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the wings and toss again to combine. If desired, garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
