  2. Add 2 cups of sugar, 1/2 cup of milk, and 1/4 cup of lemon juice to the melted butter. Stir well and bring to a gentle boil for around 2 minutes.
  3. Let the mixture simmer for 1 minute while stirring occasionally. Then, remove from heat.
  4. Incorporate 3 1/2 cups of rolled oats, 1 tablespoon of optional lemon zest, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix thoroughly.
