Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together hot water and instant coffee until dissolved and allow to cool.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg and the cooled coffee mixture until smooth and creamy.
  5. Gradually sift in the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt, blending until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the crushed Oreos.
  7. Using a 1/4 cup scoop, portion and shape the dough, then roll in crushed Oreos and flatten to about 1 inch thick.
  8. Bake for 12-13 minutes until edges are set and centers are soft.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  10. Melt chocolate, mix with butter, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla until smooth to prepare frosting.
  11. Spread frosting generously on cooled cookies.
  12. Sprinkle extra crushed Oreos and add gummy worms on top for decoration.
