Preparation Steps
- Start by removing excess moisture from your tofu block. Wrap the tofu in a clean kitchen towel and place a heavy object on top for about 15-20 minutes.
- In a food processor, combine the pressed tofu, cashew nuts, panko, salt, and pepper. Pulse until smooth but not runny.
- Take portions of the mixture and roll them into nugget shapes, about 1-2 inches long, and lightly coat with flour.
- Heat oil in a medium frying pan over medium heat. Fry the nuggets for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer fried nuggets to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil and cool slightly before serving.
