Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by cooking your rice or steaming broccoli to serve alongside the tofu.
  2. Preheat your oven to 425°F (218°C). Crumble the tofu into bite-sized pieces and arrange it on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Drizzle tofu with oil and sprinkle with sea salt. Bake for 20–30 minutes, turning halfway through.
  4. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine maple syrup, tamari, rice vinegar, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, and garlic. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry and add it to the simmering sauce to thicken.
  6. Once tofu is golden, remove it from the oven and combine with the sauce.
  7. Serve warm over rice or with steamed broccoli, garnished with green onions.
