Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • slotted spoon
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Piping Bag
  • Toothpick

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by placing the large eggs in a saucepan and covering them with an inch of cold water. Bring the water to a rolling boil over medium heat, then cover the pot and remove it from the heat. Let the eggs stand for 10-12 minutes.
  2. Once the eggs have finished cooking, carefully transfer them to an ice bath using a slotted spoon. Allow them to chill in the ice water for at least 5 minutes.
  3. Gently crack each egg's shell by tapping it on a hard surface, then roll it lightly to loosen the shell. Peel under cool running water for the best results.
  4. Slice each peeled egg in half lengthwise and carefully scoop out the yolks into a mixing bowl. Mash the yolks and combine them with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, white vinegar, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  5. Using red food coloring, create creepy veins on the egg white halves. Aim for a dramatic yet artistic look.
  6. Fill each egg white half with the yolk mixture, forming a generous dome shape on top.
  7. Place a black olive on top of each filled egg to represent the pupil. Add red food coloring or beet juice to simulate blood or veins around the olive.
