  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter until well combined.
  4. Add the vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt, mixing until incorporated.
  5. Mix in the sugar and beaten egg until fully combined.
  6. Gradually fold in the flour until just combined; do not overmix.
  7. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Let the banana bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
