Step‑by‑Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C). Gather all your ingredients, including butter, onion, and ground beef.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the diced onion and sauté for approximately 3 minutes until it becomes translucent.
- Increase the heat to medium-high and add ground beef, minced garlic, and taco seasoning. Cook for about 6-8 minutes, breaking up the meat until browned.
- Lower the heat to medium and mix in the tomato paste and cornstarch. Gradually pour in half and half and tomato sauce, seasoning with salt and red pepper flakes. Cook for 5–10 minutes until thickened.
- Remove from heat, sprinkle shredded cheese over the top, and arrange the frozen tater tots in decorative circles on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the tater tots are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool, then garnish with sour cream, wild cherry tomatoes, and chopped green onions before serving.

Notes
Adjust the number of red pepper flakes for spice preference. Serve immediately after baking for best crispiness.
