  • 2 cloves Garlic Peeled.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt Sea salt or kosher salt.
For the Cream Cheese Topping
  • 8 ounces Philadelphia Cream Cheese Mascarpone cheese is a good alternative.
  • 1/4 cup Heavy Cream Can substitute with light cream or half-and-half.
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder Finely minced fresh onion can be used.
For the Assembly
  • 1 loaf Baguette Bread Or use crostini.
  • 1 cup Fresh Basil Use dried basil sparingly if needed.
  • 1/4 cup Balsamic Glaze Can be made from balsamic vinegar.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Dice the fresh grape or cherry tomatoes and place them in a mixing bowl. Add peeled garlic cloves and sprinkle with salt to taste. Allow to sit for about 10 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine cream cheese, heavy cream, and onion powder. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Stack fresh basil leaves, roll tightly, and slice into thin ribbons.
  4. Preheat oven to 375°F. Slice baguette into 1-inch pieces and toast for about 10 minutes.
  5. Spread cream cheese mixture on toasted bread, top with tomato mixture, sprinkle basil, and drizzle with balsamic glaze.
