Description
A refreshing and easy-to-make watermelon ginger sparkler, perfect for hot days.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups seedless watermelon, cubed
- 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
- 2 tablespoons lime juice (about 1 lime)
- 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)
- 2 cups sparkling water
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a blender, combine the cubed watermelon, grated ginger, lime juice, and honey or agave syrup. Blend until smooth.
- Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove any pulp, pressing down with a spatula to extract as much juice as possible.
- Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the watermelon ginger juice over the ice, filling each glass about two-thirds full.
- Top each glass with sparkling water, stirring gently to combine.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired, and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add more grated ginger or a pinch of cayenne pepper.
- Substitute the sparkling water with ginger ale for a sweeter, more flavorful drink.
