Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound fresh tuna steaks
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried dill)
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 4 cups mixed greens (such as spinach, arugula, and romaine)
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/2 cucumber, sliced
- 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinaigrette
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or stovetop grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Rub the tuna steaks with olive oil, then season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
- Grill the tuna steaks for about 2-3 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer if you prefer them more cooked. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes.
- In a small bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, minced garlic, dill, lemon zest, and season with salt and pepper. Mix until smooth.
- In a large bowl, toss together the mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, and feta cheese. Drizzle with balsamic vinaigrette and toss to combine.
- Slice the grilled tuna steaks and serve on a plate alongside the salad. Drizzle the creamy garlic sauce over the tuna or serve it on the side.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the creamy garlic sauce.
- You can substitute the tuna with salmon or swordfish for a different flavor profile.
