Description
Sticky BBQ Chicken Meatballs are a delicious and easy-to-make dish that combines ground chicken with flavorful ingredients, baked to perfection and coated in BBQ sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F.
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Mix until all ingredients are well combined.
- Using your hands, form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Drizzle the olive oil over the meatballs to help them brown. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until cooked through and golden brown.
- While the meatballs are baking, heat the BBQ sauce in a small saucepan over medium heat until warm.
- Once the meatballs are done, remove them from the oven and toss them in the warm BBQ sauce until well coated.
- Serve immediately, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
Notes
- For extra flavor, try adding a teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce to the meatball mixture.
- You can also substitute ground turkey for the chicken for a leaner option.
- Serve the meatballs on slider buns for a fun twist!
