Description

Sticky BBQ Chicken Meatballs are a delicious and easy-to-make dish that combines ground chicken with flavorful ingredients, baked to perfection and coated in BBQ sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Mix until all ingredients are well combined.
  3. Using your hands, form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Drizzle the olive oil over the meatballs to help them brown. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until cooked through and golden brown.
  5. While the meatballs are baking, heat the BBQ sauce in a small saucepan over medium heat until warm.
  6. Once the meatballs are done, remove them from the oven and toss them in the warm BBQ sauce until well coated.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with additional parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, try adding a teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce to the meatball mixture.
  • You can also substitute ground turkey for the chicken for a leaner option.
  • Serve the meatballs on slider buns for a fun twist!
