- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, green onions, egg, garlic, salt, pepper, and oregano. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 1/2 inch thick.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties to the skillet.
- Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
- Remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, mix in some chopped sun-dried tomatoes or feta cheese into the turkey mixture.
- Serve the patties on whole grain buns with your favorite toppings, such as lettuce, tomato, and avocado for a delicious turkey burger.
