Ingredients
Scale
2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
1 cup granulated sugar
4 cups cold water
Ice cubes
Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
In a blender, combine the sliced strawberries and 1 cup of cold water. Blend until smooth.
Strain the strawberry puree through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove the seeds. Use a spoon to press the puree and extract as much juice as possible.
Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and granulated sugar to the pitcher. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Pour in the remaining 3 cups of cold water and mix well. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if desired.
Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
Notes
For a sparkling version, replace 2 cups of cold water with sparkling water.
For a lower sugar option, use a sugar substitute like stevia or erythritol to taste.
