Description
A refreshing and sweet strawberry lemonade perfect for summer days.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- In a blender, combine the sliced strawberries and 1 cup of cold water. Blend until smooth.
- Strain the strawberry puree through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove the seeds. Use a spoon to press the puree and extract as much juice as possible.
- Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and granulated sugar to the pitcher. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Pour in the remaining 3 cups of cold water and mix well. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if desired.
- Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
- Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
Notes
- For a sparkling version, replace 2 cups of cold water with sparkling water.
- For a lower sugar option, use a sugar substitute like stevia or erythritol to taste.
