Description

A refreshing summer beverage made with peaches and raspberries, perfect for hot days.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tea bags (black or green tea)
  • 1 cup fresh peaches, sliced
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the tea bags. Let steep for 5 minutes, then remove the tea bags and allow the tea to cool to room temperature.
  2. In a blender, combine the sliced peaches, raspberries, and sugar. Blend until smooth. If desired, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds and pulp for a smoother texture.
  3. In a large pitcher, combine the cooled tea and the fruit puree. Add 4 cups of cold water and stir well. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  4. Refrigerate the iced tea for at least 1 hour to chill.
  5. To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the peach raspberry iced tea over the ice. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.

Notes

  • For a sparkling version, replace half of the cold water with sparkling water just before serving.
  • Experiment with other fruits like strawberries or blueberries for different flavor combinations.
