Description
A refreshing iced beverage made with green tea, blueberries, and a hint of lemon, perfect for hot days.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups water
- 2 green tea bags
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1/4 cup honey (or to taste)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Boil 2 cups of water in a small saucepan. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the green tea bags. Steep for 3-5 minutes, depending on your desired strength. Remove the tea bags and let the tea cool to room temperature.
- In a blender, combine the fresh blueberries and honey. Blend until smooth. If you prefer a smoother texture, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove the skins.
- In a large pitcher, combine the cooled green tea, blueberry mixture, and lemon juice. Stir well to combine.
- Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the blueberry green tea mixture over the ice.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
- For a caffeine-free version, use decaffeinated green tea bags.
- Add a splash of sparkling water for a fizzy twist.
