Description

Hot Honey Chicken Lettuce Wraps are a delicious and healthy meal option, featuring ground chicken cooked in a sweet and spicy hot honey sauce, served in fresh lettuce leaves.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup hot honey (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 head of butter or romaine lettuce, leaves separated
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro (optional)
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground chicken and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks.
  2. Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the spices are fragrant.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and add the hot honey, soy sauce, and rice vinegar to the skillet. Stir well to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  4. To assemble, take a lettuce leaf and spoon a generous amount of the hot honey chicken mixture into the center. Top with chopped green onions, shredded carrots, and cilantro if using.
  5. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the wraps before serving. Enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add a teaspoon of sriracha or red pepper flakes to the chicken mixture.
  • Substitute ground chicken with ground turkey or tofu for a different protein option.
