Description

A refreshing drink recipe combining the flavors of Earl Grey tea and ginger, perfect for warm days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons loose Earl Grey tea or 4 tea bags
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup honey (or to taste)
  • 1 cup club soda
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices, for garnish
  • Fresh mint leaves, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the loose Earl Grey tea or tea bags along with the grated ginger. Steep for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Strain the tea mixture into a bowl or pitcher, discarding the tea leaves or bags and ginger.
  4. Stir in the honey while the tea is still warm, mixing until fully dissolved. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature.
  5. Once cooled, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the tea mixture over the ice, filling each glass about two-thirds full.
  6. Top each glass with club soda and gently stir to combine.
  7. Garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves before serving.

Notes

  • For a caffeine-free version, use decaffeinated Earl Grey tea.
  • Add a splash of your favorite fruit juice, like cranberry or pomegranate, for a fruity twist.
