Description
A delicious and easy recipe for a crispy beef rice bowl, featuring marinated ground beef served over a bed of white rice with steamed vegetables.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 cups cooked white rice
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 cup bell pepper, sliced
- 1/2 cup carrots, julienned
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix well until the beef is evenly coated. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated beef and cook for about 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula until it’s browned and crispy.
- While the beef is cooking, steam the broccoli florets, bell pepper, and carrots until tender, about 5 minutes.
- Once the beef is crispy, reduce the heat to medium and add the steamed vegetables to the skillet. Stir to combine and heat through for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Serve the crispy beef and vegetable mixture over a bed of cooked white rice. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a teaspoon of red pepper flakes or sriracha sauce to the beef mixture.
- Substitute the ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option, and adjust the cooking time as needed.
