A delicious and satisfying Crispy Bacon Ranch Chicken Melt that combines tender chicken, crispy bacon, and melted cheese on toasted bread.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 pound)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 slices of cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced green onions
  • 4 slices of bread (your choice, such as sourdough or whole wheat)
  • Butter for spreading

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and golden brown. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. Once cooled, shred the chicken using two forks and mix it in a bowl with the crumbled bacon, ranch dressing, and half of the cheddar cheese.
  5. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. Place the bread butter-side down on a baking sheet.
  6. Divide the chicken mixture evenly among the slices of bread. Top each with the remaining cheddar cheese and sliced green onions.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. For extra crispiness, broil for an additional 1-2 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning.
  8. Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, then slice in half and serve.
