- 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 4 slices American cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- ½ cup pickles
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons mustard
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet over medium-high heat.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined; avoid overmixing.
- Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.
- Cook the patties on the grill or skillet for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties, add a slice of cheese on top of each, and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the burgers reach your desired doneness.
- While the burgers are cooking, toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by spreading mayonnaise on the bottom bun, followed by shredded lettuce, a burger patty with melted cheese, diced tomatoes, pickles, and a drizzle of ketchup and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
