Description
A delightful no-bake dessert that combines the classic flavors of a banana split in a layered icebox cake.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained
- 1 cup strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup chocolate syrup
- 1 package (14.4 ounces) graham crackers
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, continuing to whip until stiff peaks form.
- In a 9×13 inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of the whipped cream mixture on the bottom.
- Layer half of the graham crackers over the whipped cream.
- Spread half of the remaining whipped cream over the graham crackers.
- Evenly distribute the sliced bananas, crushed pineapple, and strawberries over the whipped cream layer.
- Drizzle half of the chocolate syrup over the fruit layer.
- Repeat the layers: add another layer of graham crackers, followed by the remaining whipped cream, the rest of the fruit, and the remaining chocolate syrup.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Before serving, garnish with additional whipped cream, sliced bananas, and a drizzle of chocolate syrup if desired.
Notes
- For a lighter version, substitute half of the heavy cream with Greek yogurt.
- You can also add nuts such as chopped walnuts or pecans for added crunch and flavor.
